Linköping – November 14, 2022 – The Dutch Ministry of Defense has extended its use of the approved mobile encryption system Sectra Tiger/S from international cybersecurity and medical imaging IT company Sectra (STO: SECT B). The order includes equipment that will enable users to handle and distribute classified documents. The solution will provide enhanced flexibility and efficiency for users who need to send, receive and store classified documents in their everyday working life.

“Due to the unstable security situation in Europe, we have seen an increased need for solutions that enable secure communication exchange at a high security level. Our customers must be able to exchange all sorts of classified information, via both voice communication and document transfers. It is an honor to support the Dutch Ministry of Defense in this, and to make sure that only the intended recipients have access to their information,” says Jeroen de Muijnck, Managing Director of Sectra Communications BV.

The Dutch Ministry of Defense has been using Sectra’s solutions for secure communications since 2004. With the newly procured equipment for secure file distribution, users can send and receive documents in a user-friendly way. The solution can also be used as a personal central storage space or as a collaboration tool, providing enhanced flexibility for users.

The contract was signed in October 2022. It is the second order from the Dutch Ministry of Defense this year following an order for additional units of Sectra Tiger/S 7401 LTE. The secure communication solution Sectra Tiger/S 7401 LTE allows users to share classified information. It is quantum-proof and approved by the Dutch security authority and the EU for use up to and including the classification level SECRET. Visit Sectra’s website to read more about Sectra Tiger/S
